Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Common questions about authorization, activation, and using the Zoom integration.

How do I authorize the Flickit Live Meet app?

Authorization happens automatically when you connect your Zoom account:

  1. Navigate to a Flickit space and go to the Video tab
  2. Click "Connect Zoom Account"
  3. You'll be redirected to Zoom to authorize the integration
  4. Click "Authorize" to grant permissions
  5. You'll be redirected back to Flickit with Zoom connected

Note: You only need to authorize once. The connection persists until you disconnect.

Will I receive activation emails from Flickit?

No, Flickit does not send activation emails. The integration is activated immediately upon authorization. You will receive standard Zoom notifications for meetings you create, but no separate activation emails from Flickit.

How do I unsubscribe from email updates?

Flickit does not send marketing emails for the Zoom integration. However, if you receive emails:

  • Zoom Meeting Notifications: These come from Zoom, not Flickit. Manage them in your Zoom account settings under Notifications
  • Flickit Account Emails: Manage your email preferences in your Flickit account settings
  • Unsubscribe: Use the unsubscribe link in any email footer, or contact us at info@flickit.me
What permissions does Flickit request?

Flickit requests only the minimum permissions needed:

  • meeting:write:meeting - To create and manage Zoom meetings on your behalf
  • user:read:user - To identify your Zoom account and display your profile information

We do not access meeting content, recordings, participants, or any other Zoom data beyond what's necessary for meeting creation.

Can I use the app without a Zoom account?

No, you need a Zoom account (free or paid) to use the Flickit Live Meet integration. However, you can still join meetings created by others in Flickit spaces without connecting your own Zoom account - you just won't be able to create new meetings.

What happens if I disconnect and reconnect?

When you disconnect:

  • All OAuth tokens are immediately revoked
  • You cannot create new meetings until you reconnect
  • Existing meetings remain accessible

When you reconnect, you'll need to complete the full authorization process again. All previous meeting data remains in your Zoom account.

Is my Zoom password stored by Flickit?

No, absolutely not. Flickit uses Zoom's official OAuth 2.0 authentication. We never see or store your Zoom password. We only receive OAuth tokens that allow us to create meetings on your behalf. These tokens can be revoked at any time.

Can I create meetings for other Zoom accounts?

No, you can only create meetings using the Zoom account you connected. Each user must connect their own Zoom account to create meetings. This ensures proper authorization and security.
